I had the chance to cross the path of Paper+Cup and its founder, Minhee just after I got engaged.
Thanks to her, I plunged into the world of weddings and invitations as well as getting into the world of letterpress.
My codes for my wedding colors were black and white (stripes) and a touch of magenta.
I wanted unique invitations that looked like my fiance and I, and I went through several stages of design. I also had to do with some of the parents’ “suggestions” (lucky me, it was soft ones)… Finally, I created a design a little modern / retro somewhat / a little rock n ‘roll / a touch of classic (and yes, all this at once!). The invitation and the rsvp’s were done in letterpress so I can “feel” the ink under my fingers and give some texture. To save on costs, I flat printed the city hall and the brunch invites on a digital using letterpress paper.
We also found several DIY ideas to give some character to weddings, but it will be in a future post!
